To conceptualize this line, Laurich researched and analyzed trends of alternative musicians over the last century. Inspired by the DIY approach of Punk subcultures, Emily transformed her own photographs into prints and handmade new textiles through layering, weaving, and manipulating her personal collection of band merch and deadstock fabrics.
Using the textiles she created, Laurich designed, patterned, fit and sewed the collection "Tide" that walked at the University of Minnesota's 50th Annual College of Design Fashion Show on February 10th, 2018.
