As a team, we were tasked with building a wearable display for planetary exploration to assist astronauts at NASA. We needed to display navigational information using visual, auditory, and tactile cues within the BASALT environment, so each team member focused on a different sensory modality. 
To appeal to the somatic senses, Laurich designed and developed a close-fitting, yet breathable tank top with vibrating motors to send navigational information through tactile sensations.
